  • Private dining rooms – For elegant meals in top restaurants across River North and the Loop

Tips for Planning a Baby Shower in Chicago

  • Start with your guest list. Most baby shower venues in Chicago can hold 15 to 50 people, but small spaces fill quickly—especially on weekends.
  • Know your vibe. Are you picturing a brunch with mimosas (or mocktails)? A playful afternoon with games? Or something classy and quiet with a sit-down meal? Let the vibe guide your venue search.
  • Location matters. For out-of-town guests, pick somewhere central with good CTA access or parking. Lincoln Park, West Loop, and Lakeview all offer solid options.
  • Ask about packages. Some venues offer per-person packages with catering, drinks, and decor. Others let you bring your own food or hire outside vendors (helpful if you're on a budget or have specific tastes).
  • Accessibility counts. Make sure the venue is wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly—especially important for grandparents or guests with young children.

Booked Event Space at Nomad Chicago
5.0
NOMAD was the PERFECT venue for our baby shower! The space was so beautiful and charming! We had two rooms all to ourselves for our party of 15, with plenty of space to lay a spread and eat. We ordered catered pastries from AYA bakery through NOMAD, and they were exceptional! The tea/coffee bar at NOMAD was fantastic, and it was so convenient to just have a tab open so our guests could order whatever they wanted. The fee of $250/hour was very reasonable. With pastries and drinks for everyone, this was a much more budget-friendly option - about $1K total - than reserving space at a restaurant for a catered meal. It was perfect for this event. Jelena was a pleasure to work with as well. I would definitely book this venue again!
