- Rooftop venue where I held my Solemnisation ceremony was scenic . - Overall costs of holding a solemnisation ceremony for 53 Pax with 5-course western menu and decorations was $12000 only . - Cardijn at Crystal Club Lounge was lovely . - Irman and staff at Tablescape Restaurant were outstanding .
- I paid upfront for everything . This was a very stressful wedding for me . - We are the wedding couple . Hotel told me my husband's room cannot guarantee early check-in . Check-in will be 3pm when wedding is at 5.30pm . They then proceeded to tell me I can pay 50% more for the room and they will guarantee early check-in . I made a big brouhaha and then they decided to allow him an early check-in . Mind you , if I had paid 50% more , the price of the deluxe room would have been $30 less than the price of the Bridal suite . This defies logic . Who would be dumb enough to pay the price when it is too exorbitant for a deluxe room . Also , they failed to realise that we are the biggest spender that day . $12000 has been paid to the hotel to host our wedding (single day function) . Unless you are telling me that there are other guests who are spending more in a single day transfer than us , it does not make sense that they would not guarantee early check-in for my husband's room . - Wrote the wrong name on their congratulatory message . (Not spelling error but totally wrong name . Mind you , the hotel printed our signages and knew our names were Imtiaz and Abigail but on the congratulatory message they wrote Azar and Abigail . Azar is my husband's father's name .) - placed an ang Bao box at the reception desk even though I told them we are not accepting any gifts for our wedding (my husband was offended by that . The reason we did not accept gifts were because most of our guests were from abroad US, UK, Sri Lanka , Bahraine , Philippines, Korea . We had told them we are accepting gifts .) - Crystal club lounge receptionist Kripka asked me to pay a deposit for my Bridal suite and Deluxe room upon check-in when I had already paid in full 5 days before wedding . She then proceeded to tell me the rooms had not been reserved and she cannot see it in the system . She asked me which room I am in . That would be impossible for me to know as I am doing a check-in . So either this is Kripka's fault or Maricris' fault as nobody informed me about the room numbers. - Receipts given by the hotel has only a number on it . There is no breakdown given . So , when my brother called me and asked me how many pre-wedding cocktails and cocktails are to be served , I opened the receipts and found absolutely no information in them . I had to then refer to my emails to Maricris to see the numbers we paid for . The hotel did not know what had been paid for . Mind you , my brother asked me this at 4.45pm . Wedding starts at 5.30pm . - they charged me for 3 beers . Till now , my guests said they did not drink the beers and my PIC said it never was consumed .
great service and environment
Outstanding coordination, planning and explanation by Glenn (Event & Sales Manager). Rico was also very proactive in serving guests at the restaurants, helped keep a look out for me. I was barely managing toasts from guests and Rico quickly served me lime juice. Overall great experience from planning to rooftop solemnisation to lunch reception. Glad we chose here.
Part time service crew at the drinks reception isn't proactive enough in serving drinks to guests. Cups were disposable paper type, not glassware or plasticware.
The banquet manager Ricco is accommodating. He was prompt to request, friendly and helpful throughout the event. Thank him for a successful wedding banquet. Food was good. Judy and Kripa from Cystal club were superb with their hospitality.
The light right on top of the working desk in the room was not functioning. This light is crucial as i will be doing my bridal make up at the area with proper brightness. Informed front desk and waited at least more than 1 hour for technician to come and he told us that he couldn't fix it. Informed front desk to do a room changed, nobody seem to respond to me. I couldn't afford to wait as the wedding reception is going to start at 6.30pm. I ended up did my bridal make up facing the balcony door to get natural daylight and without any mirror. The front office service is terrible esp the front office lady who look like a manager in black suit. There were other available rooms but they just refused to accord another room for me and the front desk did not address my concern promptly.
