The Riverfront and Balcony Bar is an impressive, newly refurbished two-storey waterfront location that is perfect for hosting a staff Christmas party, annual gathering or reception overlooking the river Thames.

An alfresco terrace can be combined with the Riverfront restaurant and Balcony Bar for summer receptions, offering a truly versatile space with a fantastic never-seen-before-view of Waterloo Bridge – its structure forming the ceiling of this space.

The Riverfront is one of the largest atmospheric venues you can find on the river, flooded with natural light and able to cater for parties of up to 590 for a standing reception. When combined with the outdoor terrace, it can accommodate up to 650 guests.

Along with events hosted at the BFI's state-of-the-art auditoriums, the Riverfront serves as an excellent venue for a welcome breakfast for your conference, or a glamorous evening networking reception for your delegates.

The room can be combined with other inspirational spaces within the BFI Southbank, all of which are located on a highly desirable riverfront location, with excellent connectivity to public transport via Waterloo Station.

The auditorium spaces are perfect for hosting conferences, award ceremonies, screenings, company annual general meetings, product launches and project presentation spaces – especially if you are looking for the highest spec of audio-visual presentation – all of which are provided within the hire cost of the space.

We are also home to several versatile and stylish reception spaces, including an elegant restaurant and bar with views of the river Thames, which offer a great social space to host a welcome breakfast for delegates, an evening networking gathering, cocktail reception or staff Christmas gathering.
