About this space

Stage 2 is an Event Space in hmv Empire, a compact club-style performance room defined by a dark, industrial interior and an open central floor.

Design: The room has black-painted walls, exposed ceiling structure and low wall lighting, giving a stripped-back, industrial aesthetic and an unobstructed central floor.

Features: A raised performance stage, truss-mounted lighting and a house PA provide technical support for live shows. Hosts may bring a DJ or play their own music, and the space includes Wi‑Fi and air conditioning. The room has a step-free guest entrance, wheelchair access and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Bands, promoters and groups seeking energetic, standing music events or DJ-led club nights.

What guests say: The space has good sightlines and strong acoustics. The room creates a lively atmosphere on event nights.
