The Cellar is a Function Room in The Raven Hotel; an intimate basement comedy room defined by close performer–audience sightlines.
Design: The Cellar is compact and low‑ceilinged, finished in exposed brick and dark timber and lit by a red wash and low table lighting. The room’s layout places tightly arranged tables in a forward‑facing, close‑packed plan.
Features: A PA system and speakers are installed for live performances. Wi‑Fi is available and hosts may play their own music. Table service operates from the room and guests have access to the venue bar for drinks and top-ups.
Ideal for: Small social groups seeking a relaxed, seated performance night in a compact, close‑contact setting.

Deposits and Payments
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Deposit amounts vary by location and season. Deposits go toward the minimum spend.
Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 14 working days before the event may receive a credit valid for three months, subject to availability. No credit is issued for cancellations within 14 working days. Raven may cancel or move events due to uncontrollable circumstances.
Food and Beverage
Final food and drink selections and guest numbers must be confirmed two weeks before the event. All items are subject to availability. No outside food or drinks allowed, except celebration cakes with notice.
Music and Entertainment
Private function bookings may bring their own music. All other areas use venue-supplied entertainment.
Minors
Minors must be approved by the Function Manager and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. They must leave by 9:30 pm and check in with a Manager on arrival.
Loss or Damage
Raven is not responsible for lost or damaged property. All belongings must be removed at the end of the event or the next day. Clients are liable for any damage to the venue or hired equipment.
BYO Policy
No outside food or drink is permitted. Specialty cakes are allowed with prior notice.
