Room is a great size, bar is separate to room and works as an additional space for entertaining. I hosted a casino night for my 30th birthday with 3 casino tables and also had a photo booth in the bar area.
Ordered mini burgers, pizza, mini hotdogs and chips for the event from the hotel, food was great and had compliments from guests, particularly on the chips!
Roadworks outside were a bit of a pain accessing and exiting the hotel.
I booked my event a year in advance and the hotel was closed for a period of time after booking whilst being used as a quarantine hotel for covid. In this time the staff member I was dealing with initially had left. Once the hotel was back open, there seemed to be a lot of confusion with the details of my event which caused some unnecessary stress for me and my guests who were trying to book bedrooms for the night of the event.
The finer details didn't seem to be logged properly such as food choices, payments etc and my guests were unable to book rooms although I had a set allocation and code for these rooms. Communication at times was a bit slow to resolve these issues however everything ran smoothly on the night.
Only other thing to note was that some of the bedrooms weren't as booked when guests checked in on the day if the event an example being that an adjoining room was requested for a family and the rooms given were doors apart.
