About this space

A country hotel housed in a former coaching inn whose extensive mature gardens provide a substantial outdoor event area for private gatherings.

Design: A traditional red-brick coaching inn building with pitched slate roofs and sash-style windows, simple terraces and sheltered paved walkways; interiors are compact and pub-style, featuring low ceilings and exposed beams.

Features: The venue has a pub-style restaurant and a cocktail bar alongside a breakfast buffet served in a bright dining room. The venue provides free Wi‑Fi, air conditioning, accessible toilets and step-free access, and it permits external music during private events.

Ideal for: Small groups seeking a relaxed, residential-style gathering that combines informal dining, socialising and on-site accommodation.

What sets it apart: A genuinely dog-welcoming policy that permits dogs to join guests in dining areas and be treated as part of the party.

What guests say: The staff are warm and helpful and make guests feel welcome. The interior includes a cosy fireplace that contributes to a welcoming atmosphere.
