Cosily hidden in the venue`s beautiful gardens, the Chapel is perfect for larger indoor ceremonies up to 130 seated guests.
The spacious and light room, overlooking the venue`s rolling grounds, has a neutral, elegant interior that can be decorated and personalised to suit your taste. Your wedding coordinator will always be on hand to help you.
Event offers and packages
Package per person
- Civil ceremony in the chapel with chair covers and your choice of sash colour;
- one Bucks Fizz or soft drink per person after the Ceremony and use of the garden for photos;
- 2 course set meal or hot buffet with child meal option also available;
- glass of Prosecco for a toast drink; hire of the restaurant until 17.30 with our standard banqueting tables and chairs hire of the main bar until 23.00 if required for evening reception;
- double room for the wedding night with breakfast the next day.

Expect to spend a glorious day at this historic spot for both your ceremony and reception and even relax after your big day in the on-site accommodation.
Since the late 1800s the place has been a coaching inn and a traditional stopping point between Exeter and Barnstaple. Over the last 6 years it has been refurbished and now the award winning venue is considered to be one of the best wedding venues in North Devon.
The venue, located in Eggesford, North Devon, can be easily accessed from Exeter, Barnstaple and the M5. Fox & Hounds is set in 6 acres of picturesque gardens, rolling down to the shores of beautiful River Taw. The place, surrounded by wild grounds of Eggsford, is close to nature, giving you the unique opportunity to see pheasants, owls, siskins, woodpeckers and even deer.
