About this space

Whitehough Outdoor Centre is an outdoor activity centre centred on wooded activity grounds and practical group-challenge facilities.

Design: The grounds comprise wooded clearings and winding paths beneath a mature tree canopy, with open grassy activity spaces and dappled natural light. The setting is utilitarian and robust, with simple cabin structures and durable outdoor surfaces rather than formal landscaping.

Features: The venue includes on-site cabin accommodation, indoor classroom space and shared kitchen facilities for organisers. The site also provides outdoor camp areas, a PA system and site Wi‑Fi, accessible toilets and step‑free entrances; own music is permitted subject to a noise restriction.

Ideal for: Corporate teams and community groups seeking active, practical outdoor sessions and relaxed, nature-centred retreats.

What sets it apart: An on-site challenge course provides team-focused, hands-on activities such as crate stacking and high-rope elements set directly within the woodland.

What guests say: The venue is welcoming and relaxed, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The outdoor grounds are peaceful with prominent natural sounds, and the classroom spaces are spacious with tea and coffee provided.
