Whitehough Outdoor Centre is a unique venue set within 22-acres of beautiful Lancashire countryside, surrounded by woodlands, fields and water features at the foot of Pendle Hill. The setting offers a rare combination of tranquillity and versatility, making it just as suitable for outdoor learning and youth programmes as it is for retreats, film locations, creative workshops, or fitness and personal development training.

The centre provides a wide range of facilities that can be tailored to different groups and purposes. Accommodation includes dormitories for larger residential visits, a self-contained lodge for up to twelve people, a smaller hut for intimate gatherings, and extensive camping grounds capable of hosting up to 180 guests. These options make it possible to host everything from school residentials and youth group adventures to wellness retreats and corporate away-days.

Inside, the centre offers well-equipped meeting rooms and flexible spaces that can be adapted for conferences, training sessions, or rehearsal and production support for film crews. Outdoors, the site opens up countless possibilities with high ropes, low ropes, archery, obstacle courses, orienteering, bushcraft, survival skills, and nature exploration. Whether the goal is adventure, relaxation, creativity or professional development, the grounds and facilities provide the perfect canvas.

Many groups choose Whitehough not only for its activities and accommodation, but also for its setting. The natural landscape creates an inspiring backdrop for mindfulness retreats, fitness bootcamps, or team-building challenges, while its privacy and scale make it a practical choice for film production or training programmes. The location is close to transport links yet feels remote enough to create a true sense of escape, giving visitors the opportunity to focus, recharge and reconnect.
