Kate McGovern and her impeccable team were so warm and efficient. Often a few steps ahead with the planning. Deeply impressive

We loved everything about the venue. Our team is small and so we were very grateful for the support of the Monastery team to put our plans together for the event. Chloe was incredibly helpful and professional throughout our interactions, and with her help we pulled off a fantastic event that was enjoyed by all attendees. Guests complimented the venue, the staff and the food. We couldn't be happier with our experience and wholeheartedly recommend this venue to all - whether a wedding or a corporate event the Monastery is the perfect choice if you want a stress-free but showstopping event!

Nothing - every encounter we had with the venue in the run up to the event was positive and helpful. On the night of the event, everyone and everything was perfect - I can't recommend this venue enough!

Kate, the event planner, is an absolute superstar. The building is awesome, the food is spectacular.

The bar staff frequently got drinks wrong, someone got a coffee with a teabag in it.

About The Monastery Manchester

This former church and Franciscan friary has been described as architect Edward Welby Pugin's masterpiece. It is a stunning example of the Neo-Gothic style that the Pugins helped to make popular in Victorian Britain.
Derelict for many years, it was saved from ruin by the building preservation trust that still maintains and operates the site to this day.

Today, The Monastery operates as a venue for hire and heritage visitor attraction. All proceeds from venue hire, donations and grants help us to continue our work to maintain and preserve this important site and contribute to our growing outreach programme.
