About Crusting Pipe
The Crusting Pipe is one of Covent Gardens most original finds just minutes away from Charing Cross, Embankment, Covent Garden and Leicester Square tube stations. Customers can listen to the amazing live operatic performances that regularly take place in our vast courtyard.
Inside the vaulted interior of the dining rooms and bar there are numerous nooks, crannies and semi private rooms which make perfect areas for dinners, meetings and events.
Delicious, fresh and seasonal food is served all day from breakfast to a-la-carte meals, simple bar snacks, tasty sandwiches and afternoon tea. Our wine list offers an extensive range of wines from Davy’s wine merchants, many of which are available by the glass.

Crusting Pipe Ratings and Reviews
The venue was central and very well priced. The service was good and provided drinks, coffees , sandwiches etc of good quality, which we ordered on the day.
It was a bit noisy at times, but not terrible.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, in advance and on the day. Great team!
I found the room to be a little noisy as it is not fully enclosed above the door. Perfectly fine for a meeting, but a little loud for recording an interview.
Staff super helpful
Good value for money
Great venue for a group of people/gathering - drinks and nibbles
No minimum spend, private room areas
Nothing to dislike - would absolutely recommend and come back
Really good service. Very attentive.
Small niggle (there's a gap above the door, so not quite sound proof).
Everything and Jana was very professional every step of the way
Lovely venue, great food, ran out of a load of options but provided alternatives. Loved the room! A bit small but fitting for 18 people.
Ran out of beef options. Didn't provide starters but took money off drinks bill.
The food was great and there was plenty of it. The lady who helped organise was very lovely.
Some of the waiters were very rude and slow, especially the gentleman who took payment. He practically shouted at us and wasn't very pleasant.
Absolutely lovely pub! Good atmosphere and lots of little nooks to have a quiet and cosy glass of wine.
Service was quite slow.
The staff were lovely and accommodating to us.
Loved our quirky cellar area for our group of 16.
Great location, never knew it was there, and so big
The quality of the food was what I was anticipating from pub food in your average London pub.
If going while it is decorated for Christmas, just to note that the sign is partially obscured by their decorations, I lost some of my team and had to go out and find them because they were unable to see the sign
Great space to host my 40th birthday. Food delicious and the drinks kept flowing as requested. Would definitely hold an even there again.
Amazing hospitality, and amazing food!!
Brilliant private room, good value for money pre-ordered drinks and platters and service was great!
None to mention
Great venue and prviate room provided good ambience. Excellent service.
The waitress was lovely and helpful
Great venue and excellent service, really enjoyable evening!
Good service, quick response
Some faulty materials in or close þó meeting room, pipes?
Poor WiFi and no signal.
Good private room, in a lovely area. Food delicious
Great room. Really nice. Just what we needed. Also, being a hot day, the venue switched to a better room with a fan. Ordered a platter to nibble while the meeting ran. Good quality.
Teas and coffees are a little pricey, but heck, it's Covent Garden Market so it's probably fine.
Great food, friendly and efficient staff
Great location we had a meeting room, lunch and outside tables after to delight in the sun and have a drink; fabulous!
Some of the staff were super helpful and friendly and could not do enough to help. Unfortunately we did not get names to identify anyone specifically.
Whilst some of the staff were really friendly there some that were very rude and abrupt.
My main issue was the afternoon tea for my sister who was pregnant. We ordered two vegetarian, one pescetarian and one suitable for pregnancy.
The waitress originally brought out a vegan afternoon tea and we explained that we didn't have anyone vegan so after arguing with her she reluctantly took it back to the kitchen. She brought out the two vegetarian and one pescetarian afternoon teas as ordered. She then brought the vegan afternoon tea and insisted that this was for my sister. It seems obvious to me that a mistake was made but rather than accepting they had been in error they continued to push their mistake on us. In the end we did not want to ruin our day due to their poor customer service so we shared our afternoon teas with my sister, who's baby shower it was too.
Brilliant meeting venue in the heart of Covent Garden if you want something a bit different, we loved the venue and the sandwich buffet lunch was delicious. Everyone was super helpful and I would definitely go back for afternoon tea. Thankyou for making our day.
Food was excellent
I would like to say a BIG THANKS to all the very friendly staff of the Crusting Pipe. We had such a lovely time celebrating a friend Baby Shower and enjoy every minute of it. The afternoon tea was amazing and all my guests were very impressed with the place, food and mostly the fabulous customer service.
Looking in a future to book again as the whole process from the enquire, reservation and the whole afternoon tea was hassle free.
Many Thanks again!
Keep doing such a great job.
The Crusting Pipe hosted our company's Christmas Dinner Party in the Scotch Whiskey Vault. The restaurant/bar was very busy but with a good and lively atmosphere. The food was also very good, and overall the venue is an affordable, decent choice.
Also, the pre-order and arrangements were all made through Sam & Evie, and they were both friendly and very helpful. Good effort as well with providing Christmas crackers and a table setting.
We felt the room was too small for a party of 20.
One waiter only was not sufficient for our table as well.
We were also disappointed that our pre-orders were not tracked, since we were told the kitchen will have the names of who chose what, and the waiters would just call by the person name. That was not what happened, which created a bit of havoc since the pre-orders were done a while ago.
We were initially pleased that gluten-free bread rolls were available, however on the day no bread of any kind was provided.
