Pynes House is an exclusive hire venue, ready to accommodate all of your needs. The tranquil surroundings and grand architecture can create a really memorable setting for your event. Not only do we have a vast selection of different spaces, but you can really make them your own for that special occasion. Choose the decorations, attractions, food, music - simply, express yourself!
This venue is available all year round, so it’s able to host both indoor and outdoor events. If you prefer to stay inside you can choose from a number of available staterooms, licensed for civil ceremonies, all of which have their special features and design - the biggest one can comfortably seat up to 130 guests. For those who prefer a more outdoorsy reception, the entrance steps may be the place to choose - its awe-inspiring ornate doors create a lovely backdrop for such an unforgettable moment. In warmer weather, you can follow up with an open-air party in the gardens, where you can place marquees, prepare a dance floor, a bar area or organise some other outdoor activities for you and your guests.

Last but not least, Pynes House offers 12 cozy bedrooms to let your guests rest overnight, with an exceptional Bridal Suite prepared for the newlywed. The following morning, you can treat your guests to a delicious breakfast and explore the gardens once more to solidify in your memory the truly unforgettable atmosphere of Pynes House.

About Pynes House
Spacious and elegant, located in the peaceful countryside, Pynes House is a Grade II* listed Queen Anne style country house that is ready to host all kinds of wedding ceremonies. Do you dream of a grand and majestic party? Make the entire house your castle! Or maybe you’re looking for more private and intimate reception? Perhaps the compact ceremony room, with its large windows and breathtaking view will suffice. In Pynes House, you will have the freedom you need to make your day special. The venue is available all year round, you can hire your own caterer to suit your needs, and decorate the surroundings however you like, place marquees in the garden or organise various photoshoots - whatever you please!
If you wish to accommodate your guests Pynes House also has 12 large bedrooms available and plenty of parking spaces.
Pynes House is situated in the parish of Upton Pyne, Devon, approximately 3 miles from Exeter. Its location is very convenient, as it can be reached by various forms of transport. The proximity of the A377 motorway makes it easy to reach by car. If you wish to arrive by train you can get off at Exeter St David’s railway station and continue by taxi from there. You also have the possibility of getting here via plane, as the venue is just 8 miles from Exeter International Airport.
