About this space

A grand hay barn is the centrepiece of the Quadrangle. Built in 1870, it opens directly onto the courtyard and garden. It is ideal for talks, workshops, yoga, conferences and dining.

Its solid oak beams, Victorian brickwork, and wooden floorboards reflect the long history of its many uses. The space is unheated and uninsulated, retaining the authentic character of a traditional agricultural building.

It is well suited for presentations and talks, and includes a full AV setup with projector, screen and speakers, plus folding chairs for up to 80 people.

In the morning, sunlight streams in through the large open doors leading to the lawn. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served at long wooden tables.
