The largest event venues in the Toronto area are clustered together along the lakefront. Hunt around Old Toronto and the Entertainment District for large venues that run the gamut from halls and atmospheric event spaces to massive convention centres. Look also towards Pearson Airport for banquet halls and large hotels.

Belmont Event Space in West Humber-Clairville is one of the closest large-capacity venues to Pearson Airport. With space for up to 350 guests seated or standing, it's suitable for weddings, banquets, and corporate functions. It operates on a minimum spend model starting at around C$3000 per session.

The Warehouse Event Venue, located in Downsview-Roding-CFB, is another nearby option and among the largest, accommodating up to 1000 standing guests. Its hire fee starts at C$4000 per day and it’s ideal for large conferences, trade shows, or major celebrations.

For smaller large-scale events, Ballroom Expressions Dance Studio in Mount Dennis and LaunchHub Space in Markham offer capacities of 150 and 130, respectively, and are also within a 30–40 minute drive from the airport.

  • Check if the venues on offer are priced per hour or per session.
  • If you plan to host a quick event, then booking the space where you pay per hour is going to be the most cost-efficient choice. If you need the whole day, however, then booking the locale for the whole day is a much better option.
  • As for reducing the price, you can look for locations that are a bit further away from the city centre and are cheaper.
  • Also, renting during off season and on weekdays makes the process more budget-friendly.
  • Last but not least, think about how you want to serve the food and refreshments, and decide if you can reduce the price on them in any way (just make sure the quality doesn’t fall too hard).

Booked Event Space at OEB Toronto St
5.0
Had our Company Holiday Party this year at OEB. Seth and Joyce were so accommodating and helpful. It was a breeze to get what we needed, and they were flexible with some on-the-spot changes and asks from us. They took care of expectations very well and checked in multiple times before the event to see if things were okay or if modifications were needed. During the night, the event coordinator was on hand. The food was fantastic—way better than I was expecting. I’m glad we upped the food budget, and there was plenty for everyone. Very little was wasted. No one went home hungry.

Booked Event Space Toronto at EVNT by LAUFT
4.9
The host was extremely responsive, always replying to inquiries within 24 hours. She was very supportive and made sure the space was fully prepared for our event. The venue itself was beautiful—spacious, even larger than we expected, and perfectly suited to our needs. Both the host and the onsite staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. We especially appreciated the generous kitchen space, which was clean and well maintained. Overall, the host and event staff were flexible, accommodating, and went above and beyond to support our event.

Booked Event Space at OEB Liberty Village
5.0
Absolutely loved everything about the venue, held my 25th birthday here and invited around 60 guests to attend, and everything was nice and very pleasant! Even my friends and family who attended my party fell in love, both with the place and the food! A few of them are already keeping this place in mind for future events they want to hold in the near future. The food was truly delicious, they gave me a menu to pick out what I wanted as well as letting bring in extra dishes. My only small fault was underestimating how much everyone would eat as we started to run out of stuff halfway through the crowd (did a buffet setup) but luckily we were able to hold things down and made sure everyone had something to eat. Seth was such a pleasure to talk to and she did her absolute best to accommodate all my needs and ensured I had a great birthday and stayed within my budget. Would HIGHLY recommend this place and hope I get the chance to rent out this venue/restaurant again!

Booked First Floor at Foy House

Georgia was kind and accommodating. From the beginning to the very end she had been extremely helpful. Venue itself is very beautiful. Good enough size to host 50 people. I booked two floors. Venue provided everything as mentioned like water to drink and beautiful stemware, dishes, cutlery and serving trays that was required.

Booked First Floor at Foy House
4.9
We were hosting a murder mystery, so the vibe of Foy House was perfect. It's an older Toronto home with fun lighting, and plenty of space. But I'd have to say working with Georgia was the best experience. She was attentive, and accommodating. Kept surprising us. She's also there during the event to help with anything. Despite being an older home, the A/C was perfect for the warm day!

Booked Entire Venue at The Bedrock
5.0
This was an excellent space. It was beautiful with a great and flexible set up. The management team was very responsive and assisted us in planning a great birthday party. We brought our own catering and used the open bar services. There were two bartenders, a security guard and the venue manager all on site for the even. We had a live band and the sound and set up was excellent. We would definitely plan further parties at this venue.

The VandenBerg House is a wonderful venue for small events. We celebrated my partner’s 40th birthday there recently and had a fantastic time. Christiane was incredibly helpful and a delight to deal with, she really made planning the event so easy. I would definitely recommend the venue and Christiane and would absolutely hold another event there.
