Staff were really friendly and helpful in both setting up and during the party time. The room was so clean and spacious, and the atmosphere was also really nice. I would recommend this space for a intimate or private party.

The space was excellent for our group of 40. Our bartender was excellent and very accommodating to our needs around music etc
We ordered food from the bistro which meant the bartender had to run up and down the stairs to get the food which left the bar untended a bit. Only a minor thing but would have been good if the food could have been brought upstairs

A Fantastic Experience at the Occidental Hotel! We had such an incredible time at the Occidental Hotel in Sydney! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure everything was perfect. Their hospitality was exceptional, making our experience truly memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great selection of dishes that catered to all tastes. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. they nailed it! What really stood out was their amazing team friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Their attention to detail and warm service made us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay. If you're looking for a place with great atmosphere, fantastic food, and outstanding service, the Occidental Hotel is definitely worth a visit. We can’t wait to come back!

Dating back to 1850, The Occidental is a Victorian Regency Style Hotel and is the oldest building in Wynyard Square.

Strategically located in the CBD, The Occidental is one of the last five surviving hotels of this style and its foundations are now Heritage Listed.

Largely untouched until the 1970s, the hotel retained its original functions into the 1980s when three floors were adapted for use as a restaurant, a function room and accommodation rooms.
