About this space

Lava Lounge is a semi-private lounge in the Burdekin Hotel that centres on music and socialising.

Design: The lounge combines heritage-era details and retro fittings, featuring exposed brick, timber floors, arched openings and frosted windows that create intimate seating alcoves.

Features: The lounge provides flexible floor space that can be cleared for standing or dancing. The space includes a PA system and speakers, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The room permits own music and external DJs and is wheelchair accessible while receiving natural light from its windows.

Ideal for: Groups seeking a relaxed, music-focused social evening that mixes standing mingling and informal seated conversation.

What guests say: The lounge contains a dedicated DJ area and attentive staff. The space can run warm when crowded.
