Hobby Studio is designed for you! Our studio fits 24 people, Its warm ambiance and great natural lighting empower you to inspire.

Event space hire

Organising an event? We have bright event space and a laneway available to hire. The venue holds up to 35 people – perfect for workshops, exhibitions, and offsite collab days.

Photoshoot space

Looking for a space to take Insta-worthy photos? Hobby Studio brings in all the glowy light! Our studio is filled with photo opportunities, whitewashed brick walls and an urban laneway. We’re also located in the Pickle District which is home to numerous colourful murals.

Please note: Our space is only avaliable for workshop hire, creative photoshoots, hens with a workshop included eg craft or yoga etc. Sorry we are unable to host birthday parties or hens without a creative workshop. Thanks so much

Cancellation policy

Flexible

Cancellations 7 days in advance will receive a full refund.

Cancellations 7 days to 24 hours in advance will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations for events starting within 24 hours are non-refundable.

Rules of the space

WORKSHOPS/PHOTOSHOOTS
A deposit of 50% of your hire quote will be required, an invoice will be sent via email shortly after signing a space hire agreement.

The remaining amount is to be paid no later than 7 business days before the event.

Invoices under $400 to be paid in full.

CANCELLATION
Booking can be canceled up to 14 days prior to the event date with written notice sent to contact@houseofhobby.net

A full refund of your deposit will be transferred back to you within 7 days.

If you fail to let us know of the cancellation in writing 14 days prior, we will be unable to refund your deposit.

Bookings canceled due to covid will be rescheduled/postponed

CLEANING
In the event, the venue is left unclean an additional $110 cleaning fee will be charged via invoice.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to leave the place in good order and all rubbish from the event placed into the bins provided at the end of the event. You will be sent an exit checklist prior to your event.
Any damages or breakages should be reported to the venue as soon as possible, no later than the next day by 8.00 am

NOISE
Please be mindful of levels of music and noise emitting from the building. Music must be turned off at midnight. Please ensure that any street activity is minimal to ensure limited disturbance to residents. In the instance of complaints or fines, the costs will be passed onto the hirer.

DAMAGE MAKE GOOD
The venue may request a copy of the hirer’s valid driver’s licence. The hirer is responsible for any major damage.

The responsibility of care remains with the hirer for the duration of the hire period which includes the setup and pack down of the event. This includes damage to floors, walls, doors, and ceilings, chipped or scratched paint, bathroom facilities, venue furniture and equipment, and other general damages.

Where these conditions have been breached, the hirer will pay the full replacement or repair cost of damages, materials, cleaning, rubbish removal.
