The Freycinet Room at Tailrace Centre
About this space
The Freycinet Room is an event space in the Tailrace Centre characterised by its auditorium-scale volume and an adaptable formal layout for seated configurations.
Design: The room presents dark acoustic wall panels, a neutral low-pile carpet and high-level recessed lighting. The fitted table layout uses white linens and covered chairs, and simple greenery and string lights are used for low-key decoration.

The room can be arranged with hired tables, chairs and linens, and a staffed bar and in-room catering are routinely accommodated.
Ideal for: Corporate teams and community groups needing a presentation-ready space or hosts seeking a formal, seated reception with table service.
What guests say: The room's staff are consistently attentive and helpful during events, and the room's catering is regularly praised for food quality. The room's AV and IT support is reliable for presentations.
