The Willow Lawn at Tailrace Centre
About this space
The Willow Lawn is a private outdoor space in the Tailrace Centre that provides a flat, open grass lawn used as an outdoor gathering area.
Design: A simple, level grass plane sits beneath an open sky and a low horizon, finished in natural tones and offering uninterrupted sightlines across the lawn.
Features: A flat lawn suited to temporary seating, hired furniture and portable ceremony set-ups. A step-free guest entrance and wheelchair-accessible routes serve the area. An on-site PA system and speakers are available for announcements or music.
Ideal for: Community or social groups wanting a relaxed, informal outdoor gathering that mixes seated and standing elements on level, accessible ground.
What sets it apart: An avenue of mature, tall trees screens the lawn, creating a private green backdrop and helping to reduce wind across the space.
What guests say: The space is welcoming and supported by attentive, helpful staff who assist with event set-up and management.
