About Go Ape Thetford
The long, windy drive deep into the centre of the forest sets the scene for this Go Ape location. Tall trees and dense forest provide an ever-changing seasonal backdrop and if you come in summer, the Rhododendrons are a striking sight.
This stunning location has loads to offer for both the thrill-seekers and the ‘need to get the family out and about seekers’. If you’re one of the former and enjoy going off the beaten bike track then head for the bike trails – there’s one which is described as having ‘severe, challenging and extremely difficult features!’
There are also a number of other cycling routes more suited to family riding, plus running and orienteering routes.
You can perfect your aim by giving Lookout Archery a go, or take things back to basics on a bushcraft survival course (Back to Wilderness).
Children get a big look in at Thetford which is famous for its free adventurous play facilities – there are giant swings, pyramids, a treehouse and they can bang out music of their own making on the Sound Trail.
