You can find a few spaces at our venue but you will have exclusive access to all of them during your special day.
The Stables
This unique area was once stabling for the farm’s working horses. After careful restoration, it is now a glorious Ceremony Room. With original timbers and brickwork all beautifully lit, it has become the perfect place for the most precious part of your day.
The Granary
Built-in 1863, the Granary is the oldest part of Woolas Barn. With authentic barn doors and a stunning double-height ceiling entrance, this is the social hub of the venue. Featuring a rustic bar, reception area and most importantly space to strut your stuff when the music starts. Upstairs lie two cosy snugs providing the perfect place to enjoy a chat with old friends over a cocktail or two!
The Lambing Shed
Gone are the days of using this area for nursing cute little lambs. The Lambing Shed now boasts a striking vaulted ceiling and glass doors providing views across the Courtyard and beyond. With traditional Yorkshire boarding and exposed brickwork throughout it’s the quintessential blend of rustic charm and natural warmth, with space for up to 130 of your closest friends and family to dine.
The Courtyard
A large, open outside area with easterly views across the fields to the historic City of York. Perfect for enjoying toasting marshmallows on the fire pit after the sun goes down, or just soaking up the serenity of the Yorkshire countryside.
Prices
Exclusive access to Woolas Barn venue across a three-day period (9 am the day prior for set up; until midnight on the wedding day itself; then until 4 pm the following day to pick up any belongings)
Use of the ceremony room.
Use of the secluded former tennis court lawn for a drinks reception. This is also a beautiful space for wedding blessings to take place.
Access to Woolas Grange gardens for bridal party photos.
Capacity for up to 130 dining guests, and up to 160 guests in total for the evening celebrations.
Bar set up and staff.
Outdoor log fire.
Two snug areas in the roof of the granary perfect for winding down after too much dancing.
Access to the upstairs mezzanine which will guarantee a good birds-eye view of the crazy dancers below.
Choice of tables and chairs
Parking for approximately 50 cars, which can be left overnight at the owner’s risk.
Large kitchen area for your caterers to work their magic.
To do not worry about details you can use help from our wedding coordinator. The venue hire fee with their help is £9200 then.

Unfortunately, you cannot use fireworks but we do allow for using biodegradable confetti.
We also ask you to finish all celebrations at midnight.
