About this space

Upstairs is a semi-private event space in Liquorist Portsmouth occupying an elevated mezzanine area, defined by a prominent open staircase and abundant natural light.

Design: The room pairs patterned carpeting with warm hardwood flooring, pale painted panelling and contemporary pendant lighting to create a modern, informal interior. The layout leaves an open central area and uses mixed textures and finishes rather than formal décor.

Features: The space includes Wi‑Fi, air conditioning and an in-house PA/speaker system, and it permits a guest DJ to bring equipment. The area is furnished with movable tables and upholstered bench seating to allow flexible layouts for dining or standing reception, and it has visible AV connectivity for announcements or music.

Ideal for: Small-to-medium groups seeking a relaxed, social setting that accommodates a mix of seated dining and standing mingling.

What guests say: The space has a lively atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff, and service is generally fast and efficient.
