About this space
Millicent Fawcett Hall was initially built in 1927 and extended in the early 1930s, constructed for the London and National Society for Women’s Service (now the Fawcett Society) and named after their leader, Millicent Fawcett. A foundation stone laid by her in 1929 is to the left of the entrance.
The organisation campaigned for the initial right to vote for women and further extensions of the electorate for younger women, as well as for greater employment opportunities for all women. In 2000, Westminster School purchased the Hall and subsequently refurbished it into a space for theatre and drama.
