About this space

The Church is a function space within The Circle that preserves the building's former nave and gallery balconies as its defining characteristic.

Design: The space presents a long nave under a high timber-vaulted roof framed by stone arches and original masonry. The interior pairs restored historic fabric with contemporary fittings and low pendant lighting supplemented by clerestory windows.

Features: A built-in PA system and speakers support amplified sound, and the venue allows own music and external DJs. A raised performance area and an open central nave provide clear sightlines from the floor and side galleries. Step-free guest entrance, wheelchair access and accessible toilets are provided.

Ideal for: Community arts groups and performance-focused social gatherings that benefit from a relaxed, two-level layout with a clear performance focal point.
