About this space

The Ballroom, a Ballroom in Oswald House, is a bright, classic reception room defined by its portrait-lined walls.

Design: The room is long and rectangular with white painted walls, high ceilings and a polished wooden floor that reflects daylight. The decor is restrained and formal, leaving table dressings and centrepieces to provide colour and detail.

Features: A built-in PA system and speakers support background music and announcements, and the room allows own music or an external DJ. Natural daylight and a flexible furniture layout accommodate long banquet tables or cleared space for dancing, and a step‑free entrance plus wheelchair access are provided.

Ideal for: Families and groups of friends seeking a polished, seated long-table dinner or a formal reception that can transition to an evening social.

What guests say: The space benefits from attentive, organised on-site coordination throughout planning and the event.
