POST Photography Studio at POST Studio
About this space
POST Studios sits inside Brighton & Hove's dedicated home for photography — built by photographers, for photographers. Founded by documentary photographer and curator Nina Emett and artist-photographer Simon Roberts (whose work is held by the V&A and the UK Parliament Collection), the studio shares a building with a community B&W darkroom and a photobook library, Martin Parr described it as long overdue for a city with more photographers than anywhere outside London.
The studio is suited to photographers, videographers, production teams and creative agencies working on fashion, commercial, stills and video shoots, with both daylight and blackout setups and equipment rental available. A separate double hair and make-up room gives models, stylists and MUAs their own space to prepare between shots, and there's a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and kettle for the day.
Discounted rates are available for not-for-profits, solo artists and editorial shoots — just ask. Bookings can be cancelled up to 30 days out for a full refund, and two on-site parking spaces are included. Viewings can be arranged on request before you book.

We can tailor packages to include refreshments, catering, technical support, photography equipment hire, and creative workshop experiences.
Registered charities, educational institutions and not-for-profit organisations receive a 20% discount on venue hire.

Health & safety
● All Guests, invitees and attendees of the Hirer shall be required to sign-in on arrival at the Venue.
● Damage Prevention: Use of nails, screws, staples, or heavy-duty tape on walls, floors, or fixtures is prohibited, unless approval given on the day.
● Any and all electrical equipment to be used by the Hirer during the Event must be fully PAT Tested. All such equipment must bear the appropriate labels and be accompanied by the appropriate certificates as proof of such testing and compliance.
Cleanliness & Waste
● Rubbish Removal: Renters are responsible for bagging all rubbish and placing it in the designated bins. We heavily encourage the recycling of paper, plastic and glass so please make sure these are separated.
● Condition: The space must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Excess cleaning or damage will result in a deduction from your damage deposit.
Safety & Liability
● Emergency Exits: Fire exits and emergency pathways must remain completely clear at all times.
● Damages: The Renter assumes full financial responsibility for any damage to the facility, equipment, or grounds caused by guests, vendors, or attendees during the event.
● Smoking/Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the venue, including on any fire-escape.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
