The Marina Terrace is a flexible event space at Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, offering a private outdoor setting on the seafront. Located on the ground floor and connected to the hotel's function spaces.

With views across the waterfront, the Marina Terrace works for drinks receptions, wedding ceremonies, private parties, birthday celebrations, summer lunches, brunches, networking events, live music, informal gatherings, and pre or post-event drinks. It can be used as a standalone event space or as an extension to the hotel's indoor function rooms.

For weddings and celebrations, it offers a setting for arrival drinks, outdoor ceremonies, photographs, evening entertainment, or a private area outside. For corporate events, it works for summer networking, client drinks, team socials, product launches, hospitality events, and breakout moments during meetings or conferences.

Layouts can be adjusted to suit the style and scale of the event, from casual drinks and canapés to seated lunches, informal dining, music-led evenings, or private hire receptions.

Event offers and packages

Packages for the Marina Terrace can be tailored around the style of event, guest numbers, timings and catering requirements. The space is suitable for everything from relaxed drinks receptions and summer parties to private lunches, brunches, birthdays, wedding ceremonies, live music evenings and corporate networking events.

A popular option is our Celebration Package, available from £54.95 per person, based on a minimum of 20 paying adults. This includes private hire of the event space, a drink on arrival for each guest and a three-course dinner from our Banqueting Menu 1. A dance floor and DJ can also be arranged at an additional cost, making this a strong option for birthdays, engagements, retirements, parties and evening celebrations.

For daytime events, baby showers, hen parties, birthdays or relaxed social gatherings, Afternoon Tea packages can also be arranged. Traditional Afternoon Tea starts from £30.95 per person, with children’s Afternoon Tea from £20.95 per person. Exclusive Afternoon Tea parties are available from £47.50 per person, based on a minimum of 15 paying adults, and include private use of an event space for two and a half hours.

For more informal terrace events, packages can be built around reception drinks from £12.00 per person, canapés from £15.50 per person, finger buffets from £24.95 per person, fork buffets from £32.50 per person, pizza nights from £25.95 per person, or grazing and sweet tables from £25.95 per person.

All packages can be adapted where possible to suit the event format, dietary requirements and guest preferences. The hotel can also provide bar service, drinks packages, furniture, speaker use and event support as part of the final arrangement.

Pricing for the Marina Terrace is flexible and tailored to the style, timings, guest numbers, catering requirements and level of exclusivity required. The space can be hired as a standalone terrace area or used alongside the hotel’s indoor function rooms to create a relaxed indoor-outdoor event experience.

We offer a wide range of food and drink options, and our events team can help build a package to suit each occasion. Catering options include reception drinks from £12.00 per person, canapés from £15.50 per person, Afternoon Tea from £30.95 per person, Celebration Packages from £54.95 per person, banqueting menus from £42.30 per person, fork buffets from £32.50 per person, finger buffets from £24.95 per person, pizza nights from £25.95 per person, grazing tables from £25.95 per person and sweet tables from £25.95 per person.

The hotel can also provide bar and drinks service, with tea and coffee from £4.00 per person, house wines, prosecco, soft drinks, water and wider drinks packages available on request.

Dry hire can be considered for selected events, although this will usually carry a higher hire charge depending on the date, timings, guest numbers and level of exclusivity required. Where dry hire is agreed, all bar and drinks service must still be provided by the hotel unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Furniture and speaker use can be included as part of the space hire, subject to the event setup and final requirements. Layouts are flexible and can be adapted for drinks receptions, ceremonies, seated dining, brunches, lunches, live music, networking events and private celebrations.

A provisional booking can usually be held for up to 14 days. To confirm a booking, a contract will be issued and a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 20% will be required to secure the date. Final balance, guest numbers and pre-ordered food requirements are required 14 days before the event
