About this space
The Old railway Bridge is a tall wrought iron bridge about 20m high sitting on brick pillars. You arrive at it by going about 150m along a flat natural path. It is essentially now a lightly wooded space with sides of exposed chalk and stone. The space is secretive and hidden and yet sheltered and contained. It is a dramatic space where the natural light creates slightly ethereal , magical pools and shafts of light. There is a simple bar or foos prep area and green tarps to shelter for woodland dining for up to 24 people- chairs and tables available.
There is also a firepit. The structure is such that other canopy's could be added to create a much longer dining experience or provide shelter for yoga or other retreat activities , screenings - by hanging a projected screen off the bridge, small recitals, film shoots or brand launches - the drama of the space and easy access gives it flexibility and impact without the need to build or create unless that is preferred. It is also perfect for shoots , brand activation and film. Further more there is a natural bore so if needed we could even provide a waterfall . There is siting for small vans adjacent to the site though access is by foot. A generator would also be needed or could be provided.
In additon to the forest setting, there is a woodland cabin and wood fired sauna adjacent to the cutting for additonal activities such as massage or as an administrative base or for addiitonal shoot locations.
Prices
Weekdays (Monday – Friday)
• £800 per session (10:00 – 15:00)
• £1,000 per session (16:00 – 23:00)
Weekends (Saturday – Sunday)
• £1,000 per session (10:00 – 15:00)
• £1,200 per session (16:00 – 23:00)
We will require 25% non refundable deposit at the time of booking and final amount 7 days before the event.
We have chairs and tables available to seat 24 and fire pit cushions, candles and oil lamps for an additonal fee. We can also prepare and style for an event for an additional fee. Covered tarps for dining up to 30 are on site and remain up but may be removed with permission. The above prices are for smaller groups up to 24 . Film and shoots are priced separately according to length of time required, number of people on site and any specific changes or impact that may occur or are needed.
We can recommend a number of local chefs from fire pit cooking to casual , imaginative and formal dining . We also have mixologists, sommeliers, bar staff, waiters ,event organisers and stylists on request. We can also suggest local yoga and wellness teachers including massage.
We can create a bespoke package and that will be priced according to the requirement.

Damage to the space will result in an extra charge
No climbing or leaving designated event space as this is a natural outdoor space.
No smoking cigarettes or other lighted products as it is a natural outdoor space. Vapes permitted.
Note : There is limited WC available - in adjacent farmhouse for less than 20. Portaloo hire is excluded from the price.
