About Balfour Winery

Balfour Winery is a Tagvenue Partner. This business has registered with Tagvenue and agreed to our venue partner standards.

Balfour Winery is a working vineyard and winery that operates as a tasting room and events venue set among cultivated vines and orchards.

Venue highlights: The main visitor building combines an indoor restaurant area and a large deck that overlooks the vines, creating an indoor-outdoor layout for private hires. A programme of tutored tastings and self-guided or expert-led tours can be included in private bookings. An on-site kitchen provides sharing platters plus vegan and gluten-free options, and an estate shop stocks wines and non-alcoholic alternatives.

Best for: Tastings and wine-pairing events, private lunches or celebratory dinners, and corporate away-days or product showcases.

Location: Staplehurst lies in Kent countryside and provides a quiet, agricultural setting. Country lanes and nearby orchard paths give straightforward options for post-event walks.

What guests say: The tutored wine tastings are generous and informative, presented clearly with ample pours for group participation. The food menu supplies generous sharing platters and a range of small dishes, including multiple vegan and gluten-free options.
