Absolutely incredible time! The staff was lovely and everyone had an amazing evening. The food was delicious and a great value for it's money and the karaoke was a huge hit. I can't thank Manos, Nadine, Antoine and their teams enough for such a spectacular evening. Our entire party had a ton of fun and many stayed until the early hours of the morning. Can't wait to come back to Upper House again!
There was one stall in the women's lavatory that was out of order but that's truly all I can complain about.

Minimum spend too high, particularly for January. Didn’t come close so was very expensive.
Lovely venue and good location, we had a lovely event and the bar staff were fantastic.
Here is a rundown of the awful experience we had with the venue management at the end of the babyshower.
At roughly 4pm I asked the barmaid what our current total was, she totalled up the receipts using my phone and came to £400 and added the £90 on my bill to the deposit, noting that I had asked at the start of the event if I should pay or charge against the deposit. Making a discrepancy at that point of £110. During that hour many drinks were ordered by the party including myself BOTH upstairs and downstairs. An hour later I was told we still had to spend £250 for me to receive any of my deposit back.
Believing this was simply a calculation mistake I explained this to the manager and asked him to check again and speak with his staff so we could pack up our party. Instead, I spent an hour explaining simple math. After saying TWICE to not continue arguing with me about something that made no sense and to let us pack up and send details by email I was followed out repetitively to re-engage.
To then have the GM tell me I 'had an attitude' as though I was a teenage girl was the absolute epitome of disrespect. It is truly beyond me how at that point, with all the staff confirming the totals made NO SENSE, it was still being asked of me to explain it. At no point did it seem to cross managements mind to discuss it themselves with their staff instead of pressuring us to work it out and avoid destroying our evening.

Everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. The venue is gorgeous. The location is very central.
The food was yummy but could have been presented nicer. Although we did put a lot of things on the designated table so that could have been our fault too!
There are quite a few stairs to the top room which wasn't ideal for my elderly grandparents.
The staff in the run up to the party were so helpful and accommodating. On the night the team were great and our barman was a total star. Every question I had was answered and the team were hugely cooperative. Highly recommend for a party in a private room.

The Ballroom at the Dead Dolls House had great space and in a nice location, with pleasent staff. We ordered food which everyone enjoyed. Had the projector facilities we were looking for.
Team need to improve their communication / organisation.
We hired the Ballroom pretty last minute for our office's summer party. Nadine was great at helping me organise it and explaining everything to me. They were very flexible with our various dietary requirements and also with how we paid for the event, they were able to adjust to suit our processes which meant that we were actually able to go ahead with the event.
I had been worried the food might not be enough for everyone but it definitely was, everybody also thought the food was delicious. The staff on the night were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure our night went well and everyone had fun and this was definitely noticed and appreciated amongst staff.
Everybody said they had an amazing time and they loved the venue and food, I can't recommend this venue enough.
Fantastic venue and the most amazing day. Good value for money in a brilliant location and beautifully decorated inside. All staff were friendly and helpful and sent all guests upstairs. Easy to organise and emails back were prompt. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Swift and courteous service - really helpful on emails especially. Open to flexible usage of space and didn’t need to prebook drinks or food. Loved the fact that the bar staff were kind enough to let us stay a little longer than planned.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t use of a step ladder as promised for us putting up decorations, and they were having Wi-fi trouble on the day. We used our own phone for music in the end for accessing our Spotify playlist as the staff didn’t want us to log out of their Spotify account on the tablet provided to log into our own account to play our own music. This meant I had to go without my phone (when guests were trying to reach me) and had to use my own data for music streaming. Not a biggie - just a slight annoyance. One other thing is that although we had a wonderful time (and it really is a lovely space) those guests with young kids had no suitable options for food and had to go elsewhere.

The food was yummy and the customer service was beyond amazing, from Emily answering my millions of questions when I was booking, to the staff on the day doing everything in their power to making us happy and meeting our needs.
My friend said she had the best bridal shower and the venue was beyond what she expected.
The staff were really friendly and got into the spirit of the evening. Always helpful and never hassling. The buffet was great - very tasty. The room is pretty and comfortable. The location is handy for guests - easy to get to.
There is a limit on the noise level so we didn't dance as much as I thought we would. Could have done with a bit more volume. The chip butties were a bit dry and not really value for money! but the other food was very nice
Everything was great! The Library is a very nice, cozy room, and we were provided with plenty of drinks, the food was really good (we ordered platters and everyone was commenting on how yummy the chicken was), the music system was great, you can play your own spotify playlist, and it is really a very charming room, with decorated wallpaper, very nice mirrors and elegant. I would definitely recommend it.
It was really hot, even though there is air con. But I guess it's a common problem, and it was bearable.

We booked the back area for a leaving do for 50 people.
The cocktails were great (and good value too!), the food was tasty and the DJ kept us dancing until 3am. The staff was 5*. Emily, the manager was prompt to help us organise it (very easy via email) and Emma and the team were amazing on the day. Anything we asked for was taken care of immediately and with a smile. The door staff was attentive but in a laid-back, polite way. Many guests were gushing about how great of a venue we've chosen.

Small misunderstanding about the table & chair set up at the very beginning which was solved within 5 minutes.
Staff was very polite and helpful, especially prior to the event. The bar is really beautiful and the catering was of good quality. I loved the cocktails and the general atmosphere of the bar.
We had to go and ask several times to have everything that had been ordered prior to the event on the table and waited for tea for a long time. Also with a 2 pound cake charge per person it would have been nice to have been offered a few bigger plates or dishes to arrange my cakes, instead of just small plates with spoons.
I loved the atmosphere and layout of the venue, and how accomadating Emily and Nadine were with my needs. The wine was great.
The food that came out wasn't all what the menu I was given stated, and there didn't seem enough of it. Guests had small portions, and those who were vegetarian even smaller. Slightly more food would have been perfect.

This was the most amazing venue for our wedding lunch. Emily was great at organising and the whole day was amazing.
Great central location for a private party. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making it very easy to book. They alsoprovided us with bespoke cocktail menus which was a lovely touch. The space itself is great and customizable. Above all, they allow external catering, which was a massive help for us.
Quite a few stairs to get to the top floor, so not suitable for disabled/elderly.

Emily was really helpful during planning, and everything was prepared as discussed before. The bartender we had dedicated to the room was a star. She was super helpful and readily available to take orders. The food was amazing, we mostly enjoyed the chicken and waffles.
Staff were friendly, and flexible, allowing me to personalise the party by controlling the music, moving tables and chairs after food to play games, bringing my own cake etc. Food came out in good time, great location, nice to have a private space.
Outside space (visible from one of the windows) was quite untidy with chairs/ tables, and the table cloth provided was quite stained in sections, so I was glad I could cover these up with decorations I'd brought.
I hosted my baby shower here and from the start the communication between myself and Emily the events manager was excellent. she provided me with all the answers to my questions and more. the staff here are very helpful, nothing was too much to ask.
