About Carlton Towers

Originally recorded as one of the Yorkshire manors held by Robert de Bruce at the times of the Domesday Survey, and today the family home of Lord Gerald Fitzalan Howard, the Carlton estate has been in the family through the ages. It encompasses 250 acres of parkland together with 1500 acres of farm and woodland and enjoys close connections with the farming community of the local village of Carlton. At the southern end of the parkland is the estate’s main lake, 11 acres in size with a long reputation of Yorkshire tench fishing and still holding a good head of fish.

With its acres of land, set in beautiful Yorkshire countryside, it is no wonder that the opportunities for outdoor events that Carlton estate can offer are endless.

Combine this tranquil setting with the historic architecture of Carlton Towers, the incredible family history, and Carlton Towers’ luxurious accommodation, and you have the ideal location for a really stately experience and for staging the celebration of your dreams.
