Unique two bar brightly decorated cafe & cocktails style venue appealing to the LGBTQ+ community, and has an all inclusive policy for the whole community of Chelmsford and Essex. This safe place venue has daytime availability and offers comfortable covered and heated rear courtyard area furnished with rattan padded chairs and tables. Bar plus also has a late night licence until midnight Monday to Thursday, and a 2am licence on Fridays and Saturdays. You will find the interior cheerful and welcoming during daytime hours, whilst the superb programmable mood changing lighting and professional DJ PA system, DJ stand and Lights create a Nightclub vibe or a venue for parties, celebrations, wedding receptions, birthday parties, ceremonies, and much more. There are staff to serve and DJs to provide the party vibe.

Bar Plus supplies unique and exclusive drink products that cannot be bought anywhere else, such as Draught QUIERE lager, Draught Stonewall IPA, Draught 3 Queens session Ale (in homage to Bar Plus 17th century original name), Draught Bottom 0% lager, and the complete range for Essex Spirits Gins, Vodkas, and Rums, all distilled by Chelmsford’s local distillery, who have a partnership with FeverTree flavoured tonics and sIda’s who produce menus that match the mixers with Essex Spirits products.
