The Crumb and Comfort Cafe is a woman-owned, family run cafe and event space. It has the fabulous address of 5 City Walls and opens out and overlooks the fabulous walls where the Romans walked nearly 2000 years ago. The property is inside the city walls of Chester and is a fantastic space for a gatherings, meetings, special meals, afternoon tea or a party or celebration.
The cafe is a piece of history with a beautiful fresh new twist following its opening in March 2026. The venue has hosted sports functions, private meals, 50th and 60th parties, baby showers and will be doing its first wedding in 2026.
The venue can be hired in its entirety with its own private and licensed bar. Hiring options vary from buffet style to full sit down dining which can be tailored with the friendly owner Susan. The venue can also provide an amazing range of celebration cakes to mark the occasion with the ease of ordering a cake direct to the venue!
Own music can be played on the venue sound systems throughout any event. Decorations and party lighting can be supplied on arrangement or they may be supplied by guests. Reasonable access and a pre-visit can always be arranged to set up your event as required.
All food at the Crumb and Comfort Cafe is freshly made to order from a team that have secured a five star hygiene rating. There are numerous vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available to suit guests of all ages. Children and dogs are always welcome at the venue and they even supply dog biscuits and water bowls!
