The elegant Grade II* listed Georgian Mansion sits within 17 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds on the picturesque shoreline of Lake Windermere looking out on the Lakeland fells beyond. Whether you dream of a small intimate wedding or an exclusive use house party, Storrs Hall offers you an unforgettable wedding day.

Storrs Hall is a truly unique setting for your wedding, in the most beautiful of locations.

If you love the outdoors you might want to hold your wedding ceremony in the Pavilion, with the lakes and fells that have your backdrop. But if the romance of classical architecture appeals to you, then you will fall in love with the hallway beneath the stained-glass windows of the rotunda. Or maybe you will prefer the beauty of the elegant drawing room with its stunning Georgian windows and views of the lake. Storrs Hall’s civil license allows you to hold your ceremony outdoors or inside the hall.

After drinks and canapés on the terrace or in the lounge, you can choose one of three restaurants for your wedding breakfast. The Lake Edge Restaurant seats up to 80 guests, while the smaller John Bolton Room seats up to 22. Both these dining rooms enjoy stunning views of the lake. Counties Meet, which is adjacent to the Tower Bar, seats up to 40 guests and is perfect for intimate weddings.

About Storrs Hall Hotel

Storrs is fortunate to have grand proportions and large spaces in the main house rooms, plus the peaceful privacy of the lakeside Suites and Boat House.

All set in expansive lakeside grounds in a spectacular, quiet location just south of Bowness on Windermere. It has been a pleasure to see so many of you enjoying your stay at Storrs over Summer and Autumn, and we will resume normal service as soon as possible – anticipating a happy Christmas.
