The Reading Room is a stunning, generously proportioned space with an ornate ceiling, beautiful archways and artworks, and floor-to-ceiling bookcases that stretch along two walls. Most events are absolutely fine just bearing in mind that we are Grade 1 heritage listed building.

As we are reopening Searcys venues, we make sure that each space gets
accredited with “We’re Good to Go” industry standard, launched by VisitBritain, UK’s
national tourist board.

This means that each venue adheres to the respective Government and public

the required processes in place.

It is fully supported by Meetings Industry Association (MIA) that encourages event
venues to apply for consumer-facing accreditation.

Variety of options Flexibility
Bringing the trolley in for the breaks/canapés at the end was quite noisy but not sure how else the team could manage as ‘in room’ catering space only. Maybe just extra care in being as quiet as possible but didn’t effect the overall high standards enjoyed
