The Playhouse

The Playhouse is a former theatre with a courtyard that leads to a spacious, open-plan interior. The venue includes breakout rooms and furnishings from the Menier Lounge. It is fully accessible for disabled users.

The space supports a range of uses, including:

Team meetings and away days
Presentations and networking events
Product launches
Photoshoots and filming
Rehearsals
Art exhibitions
Yoga and wellness sessions
Talks and lectures
Podcast recordings

The venue includes indoor and outdoor areas. Layouts can be adjusted as required (e.g., cabaret, theatre, U-shape, boardroom). Additional furniture is available for hire.

Facilities include a 65" and 55" TV screen, flipchart, and whiteboard. Catering and refreshments are available from the onsite team.

Half day hire available from 8am to 1pm or 5 hours after 1:30pm. Otherwise it'd be consider as a full day hire. Minimum of 5 hours hire for advance booking. Additional cost for before 8am and can open until 11pm and weekends, contact for specific quote.

Low impact photoshoots/filming/events we can sometimes offer a discounted hourly rate and could be hired by hours. Please contact us for info.

Host rules

Access time is the same as hire time.
Maximum capacity 100 people in total if hire upstairs meeting room exclusively.
No fixings to be made to the walls.
Noise to be kept at ambient levels during hire of venue.
Kitchen available - no hob.
No open flames.
No smoking anywhere at the venue, including the outdoor courtyard and garden.
No loud music.
Corkage fee applies for bringing in your own drinks.
Self-catering/external caterer allow with prior consent.
Use of outdoor courtyard allow with prior consent.

Cancellation policy: Standard 60 day with Grace Period

Adorned with greenery and furnishings from our Menier Lounge, this open-concept space features small breakout areas and is fully accessible for disabled users. Ideal for team away days, meetings, presentations, networking events, and product launches, this versatile venue includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, with a flexible layout that can be tailored to your needs.

We have a 65" & 55" TV screen available for hire and flipchart and whiteboard for conference purposes. Catering and refreshments are provided by the onsite team, who will ensure the smooth running of your day.
