About this space

A period-style station tea room housed within a preserved heritage railway, defined by authentic railway fittings and signage that reflect its history.

Design: The interior uses timber floorboards and green-painted timber panelling against pale walls, with simple wooden tables covered in check-pattern cloths, pendant lamps and framed maps and posters on the walls.

Features: The venue operates a café counter serving simple hot lunches and light refreshments. The venue provides a PA system and speakers, allows bring-your-own music or a hired DJ subject to noise restrictions, and includes Wi‑Fi, step-free access and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Local community groups and rail-enthusiast meet-ups seeking relaxed, seated lunches or informal social catch-ups.

What sets it apart: An on-site railway museum sits alongside the tea room, hosting volunteer-curated artefacts and interpretive displays.

What guests say: The venue stages regular themed train services and seasonal events that make frequent use of the café and station facilities.
