About this space

Stretch Tent is a private outdoor garden space in a pub-restaurant that provides a sheltered area for outdoor gatherings.

Design: Neutral-coloured canvas is stretched over tall poles to form a high, vaulted ceiling that keeps the interior airy. Festoon lighting crosses the roof and planted pots punctuate the perimeter, producing a garden-room appearance.

Features: The space sits on a raised timber deck that opens directly onto the garden. Wi‑Fi and natural daylight are available, and the space allows own music or a brought-in DJ subject to the venue's noise restrictions. Step-free guest entrance and accessible toilets support wheelchair access.

Ideal for: Groups of friends and family seeking a relaxed, social standing reception or an informal seated meal in a sheltered outdoor setting.

What guests say: The garden area provides a pleasant outdoor atmosphere and feels well organised for al fresco gatherings. The space is supported by consistently attentive, welcoming service.

Party · 100 guests · June 2025

We hired the Crown Inn for my Dad’s 80th birthday party and it was great. Lovely setting and friendly, professional service throughout. Everything was timed perfectly and they sourced musicians and a DJ for us. Great garden with a large tent covering and comfortable seating.

We had a couple of issues with double booking of their two rooms but this was sorted out and we got the rooms.
