About this space

Treetop Adventure is a semi-private outdoor space at Go Ape Forest of Dean (Beechenhurst Lodge) offering an elevated rope‑course experience through the treetops.

Design: The course sits among mature woodland on timber platforms linked by rope bridges and crossings. Dappled natural light, narrow elevated walkways and exposed fixings create a rugged, utilitarian outdoor setting.

Features: The course uses a continuous belay safety system that keeps participants clipped in at all times. Trained instructors handle harnessing, briefings and on-course assistance. The route includes wobble bridges and intricate crossings across timber platforms, with visitor facilities nearby such as a café, playground and parking.

Ideal for: Families and small activity groups seeking a short, active and social outdoor experience that emphasises participation over formality.

What sets it apart: A long, high‑speed zip‑wire finale provides a distinctive, memorable finish to the course.

What guests say: The course is staffed by consistently friendly, helpful instructors who support nervous participants. The surrounding site provides practical visitor facilities including a café and a playground.
