About this space

St Barnabas Church Joydens Wood is a community church venue centred on a large, clear-plan main hall whose defining quality is an open, unobstructed floor suitable for floor-based activities.

Design: The main hall presents a simple, functional interior: pale walls, a timber-effect floor and evenly spaced ceiling lights. Large high windows with curtains deliver daylight and a neutral backdrop for decorations.

Features: The venue has a clear open floor that functions as a dance area and general activity space. A stack of chairs is stored along the wall and can be arranged to suit layouts. A folding partition allows the hall to be divided into smaller areas. Accessible toilets, wheelchair access and a step-free guest entrance are provided. Own music is permitted and external DJs may be booked subject to the venue's noise restrictions.

Ideal for: Community groups and social clubs seeking an accessible, adaptable indoor space for seated or standing gatherings and casual dancing.

What sets it apart: An enclosed, directly accessible outdoor area attached to the hall provides a private outdoor option for guests.
