About this space

Lower Decks Bar is a semi-private bar in The Light Banbury that occupies a compact counter-and-seating area and provides a sheltered spot apart from the venue's main activity zones.

Design: Interior design pairs dark chevron timber panelling and patterned glass-tile counter fronts with industrial metal shelving behind the counter. Pendant globe lamps and a neon script sign provide warm, focused lighting across a narrow, linear layout.

Features: Counter service includes visible draught taps and backlit shelving for a stocked drinks display, with bar-stool seating along the counter. The area also provides Wi-Fi, natural light, air conditioning, wheelchair access, accessible toilets and a step-free guest entrance.

Ideal for: Small groups seeking a relaxed, social drinks setting that combines seated bar counter space with informal standing and mingling.

What guests say: The space has a lively atmosphere and attentive, helpful staff.
