This pub was the perfect location for our event. We used the back room with access to the outside. Pizza and platters were delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great night and everyone commented on the lovely venue. They allowed me to decorate the room. Couldn’t have been better
From the moment we submitted an enquiry right through to the event itself, the staff were beyond helpful with all the details, logistics, planning etc. to ensure that our event went so smoothly. Pete answered all questions super quickly and helpfully, and he and his team were amazing in the lead up with dropping bits off and handling everything on the day. The pizzas were so tasty that we had to order more on the day as our guests loved them so much! Such a great selection of drinks on offer and very reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend the venue and the staff, we had an excellent time and would definitely book this again for other events.
The food was really yummy and full of flavour, with great options for everyone. The location is fantastic and the area itself is lovely, which made it feel special for an event. Having the upstairs area booked exclusively was such a bonus — it’s perfect for both sit-down meals and more relaxed, standing events. If you’re hosting a party of more than 8 people, I’d definitely recommend going for the set menu. It just makes everything much easier to manage. Our minimum spend ended up being a bit higher than what’s usually stated, which I assume was due to timing and numbers, and I think having a set menu would’ve helped reach that more smoothly. That said, the staff were super friendly and incredibly accommodating, especially when it came to serving food individually to everyone.
Such a gorgeous little pub. Hired for birthday bevs and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. Great staff, great Guinness, great pizza. Just great. Would definitely book this place again.
I needed a cosy, welcoming and affordable venue for my leaving do and George & Monkey delivered. They linked up with members of my team who decorated ahead of time and all the staff were super lovely. Range of drinks and pizzas were great too. It was a fun and chill evening, thanks in part to such a perfect venue.
Great communication, easy to reserve table for my baby shower. Staff were very friendly. Really liked that they had delicious alcohol free IPA on draft, loved that! Yummy pizza. Great location and lovely pub.
Great space for a prty, and very friendly and helpful staff. It's great as you can bring your own music, there is karaoke if you want. There are seats but plenty of space for dancing. Toilets are rigt next to the space as well. It is very reasonably priced in terms of minimum spend. Would recommend.
I cannot recommend this place enough. We threw a casual engagement party with friends and family and everyone commented what a nice pub/bar it was. The service was friendly and the pizza was incredible. Thank you so much for such an easy and enjoyable experience.
