VIVO Media Arts Centre is a cultural center and a non-profit organization that promotes the independent media artist community within the city and its area. Dozens of artists and other art centers receive free or inexpensive resources provided by us every year. Public access is guaranteed to a complete list of specialized equipment and software, to two production studios, and to a presentation venue.
We are open to the public and host video screenings, new work exhibitions, production, and skill-sharing workshops that attract hundreds of visitors and program participants. Video Out is VIVO’s distribution service, allowing locally produced video art to be seen at the film festivals and galleries across the globe. The Crista Dahl Media Library and Archive brings back and keeps alive the hidden histories that would otherwise perish, thus, by facilitating original community-based research and knowledge, supporting the process of historiography.
