Hosted a 30th birthday party at Something in the Water and it was such a success! The venue is absolutely beautiful and well designed for function and flow. Darts at the back were a hit for guests and beer and cocktails were excellent. Can't stress enough how amazing the staff were, Elizabeth especially. They were attentive, accommodating, and fun! Even allowed us to create custom cocktails for the event. Would highly recommend the venue for a future event and hope to return soon.

The sandwiches were so tasty and great value. However, we ordered charcuterie platters and the presentation could have been better, and we would have received greater value had we just ordered more sandwich platters.

PROS/LOVES: - The Venue: it was totally cleared out (tables and chairs) for the party. We had a little cocktail reception, the space was a fantastic size for 50-60 people, the colour scheme, cocktail/alcohol display, food presentation, and layout were an absolute knockout!! 10/10 - Outdoor Space: the Muskoka chairs were set up around a fire pit and the patio was set up with additional heaters, it was perfect for a late-November party. - The Food: don't skip on the sandwiches and empanadas!!!! all my guests were floored with how good everything was. - Flexibility: we were allowed to essentially bring in whatever we wanted from decor, to furniture, to outside food. Very flexible on the planning. I couldn't recommend a spot more than Something in the Water!!! Amanda was incredible to work with, really chill and supportive of our plans, timing, etc etc etc! This was such a great experience, and I'd 100% have another event here!

CONS/FEEDBACK: - Rentals: DISCLAIMER, this would be more of a luxury but I wish the venue had cruiser tables and a coat rack available there either to rent or use at no extra cost. It was really not a huge con, just for convenience sake, as it is an event venue after all. - Communication: I personally felt it would have been nice to see a clearer layout of what to expect such as the outdoor space set-up, food presentation/preparation, and alcohol/food prices. It was all confirmed at different times, with a bit of confusion that may have been avoided with a document to look over. - Food/Alcohol prices: there were no discounts offered for how much food we ordered, so it was definitely pricey, but worth it. Same with alcohol, would have loved to have purchased the bottles I ordered (wine and scotch) by the bottle, but it was charged by the glass. Understandable from a POS perspective, but maybe could change in the future.

About Something in the Water Toronto

We are a curious craft brewery in Liberty Village, walking distance to BMO Field or the Budweiser Stage. Perfect for pre-game or pre-show. We are entirely open concept, so while you enjoy are artisanal craft beverages in elegant stemmed glassware, you can see, smell and hear the brewery where these beverages were just made.

We have an in-house Sandwich Shop and also serve a variety of wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.

This is an intimate space and our capacity is 50 people.
