About Dreambags Jaguarshoes

Our flagship venue, launched in 2001. Its name derives from the 1980’s bag and shoe wholesalers that once occupied our building, whose signage still adorns the shop front. In a time before bars and art galleries, this was the primary industry in Shoreditch and this venue (one of the areas first) defined this now prolific class of arts venue and this area of London.

Combining arts and lifestyle and creativity within a rough around the edges, architecturally honest environment, Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes provided the template for this now abundant breed of drinking establishment.

Our ground floor area is a light and spacious room with high ceilings, sky lights and large glass shop frontage. The basement bar is a cosy candle lit, raw brick hideout. As such, it is a versatile venue, that plays host any kind of event; club nights, live music performances, lectures, workshops, fashion shows, castings, Sunday markets and art fairs...

On weekend nights (occasionally Thursday and Sunday as well), our basement turns into a club and music venue. Behind the programming is Short Waves and one of London's most important labels Permanent Creeps. We put a lot of energy into selecting the best up and coming bands, peculiar DJs, music passionates, record labels from London and beyond.

We work with wonderful people who play unconventional music on radio stations such as NTS, Lyl Radio, Red Light Radio, Netil Radio. All styles are welcome, the only thing that matters to us is to see our clientele dancing and having a good time.
