The bar staff were good and the drinks (especially the margaritas) were delicious. After the bad start certain members of the team made a real effort to make the evening a positive experience.
When we arrived the area we had booked had many people drinking there and we were told by Elizabeth that we didn’t have exclusive use of the bar despite being told this in the communication on Tag Venue by Elizabeth: “When you book the bar area it will be private for your party, meaning we won't be allowing walk ins except the restaurant's bookings.” We were also told that if we did want exclusive use the minimum spend would be more and that they couldn’t turn people away that walked in. Elizabeth also said what was she supposed to say to people that walked in (maybe just say that the bar is booked for a private event like you had said it would be in the communication?!). Eventually after discussing with someone else in the management team the people we didn’t know were cleared out of the area but this took at least 30 minutes to happen by which time guests for my party had started to arrive. It’s a lovely bar but I won’t be booking an event here again nor would I recommend for anyone to due to the bad experience I had on arrival.
