1901 is beautiful, the staff very friendly and tried hard. A truly historic and glamorous venue.
I did not realise that people in the second bar (ie not part of our 1901 booking) would have to cross through our party to reach the loos. The bar attached to 1901 got very crowded when we were having our champagne reception prior to going into the Ballroom for our afternoon tea . The Tea looked very pretty, but I would have preferred more sandwiches, fewer cakes and sadly the tiny scones were hard. Tea/coffee pots were not left on the table which would have been better as staff did not circulate as much as expected.
