The Galleries contemporary venue space boasts floods of natural light from the panoramic window along with blank white walls to decorate at your will and make your occassion truly special.

The Linbury Room is a versatile space with in-built AV facilities, this space is perfect for a variety of different events from receptions to lectures, to dinners and civil ceremonies, Bethan and David would be happy to guide you in the best layout for your day and how the space can best me used to maximize the potential each event.

The ideal Blank Canvas to deliver whatever you need in terms of a perfect event, be creative with your decoration and we will ensure the perfectly delivery and attention to detail through our super Events team.

Rules of the space

As the first purpose-built public Gallery, DPG's grade II listed status prevents us from allowing dry-hire in the majority of venues to protect the priceless works and historical status of the space.

As each wedding at Dulwich Picture Gallery is arranged on a bespoke basis to your exact requirements, all costs for catering, marquee hire, entertainment and flowers would be on top of the venue hire and need to be arranged through our list of approved suppliers who know and have previous experience with the Gallery , all of whom can be found at the back of our brochure.

We are currently updating our list and push to use as many local suppliers as possible or the best alternative. All of our suppliers know the Gallery well, so please do feel free to contact them for initial ideas and quotes to help create a day that’s personal to you.

Down in leafy suburbia, set in the heart of a quaint inner city Village, you will find the first purpose built public art Gallery just a stones throw from Central London. This Grade II listed building, adorned with baroque interiors, provides the perfect artistic backdrop to any occasion. With landscaped gardens adding a spectacular setting in an atmospheric setting for larger events.

Dulwich Picture Gallery is London’s best kept secret. Founded in 1811, this hidden gem is the first purpose built public art gallery in the world and has been celebrating art for over 200 years.

For a wedding breakfast with up to 120 guests we can accommodate them in the stunning Soane Gallery. For events over this number, we can offer our stunning Gallery Gardens with a marquee reception or for something more private and on a larger scale we have the hidden meadow just adjacent to the Gallery.

We also cater for parties of all occassions, Corporate away days, naming ceremonies, christenings, wakes, lectures and meetings. Whatever your function we will do our best to suit your needs.

The building is an architectural masterpiece designed by Regency architect Sir John Soane and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, offering an intimate and unforgettable experience for events.

The Gallery provides a stunning backdrop for corporate dinners and away days, private parties and bespoke weddings, with both daytime and evening spaces available.
