About this room

Atop Number 10’s grand marble staircase, the Lecture Room's views of The Mall through it's floor to ceiling windows and grand chandeliers give this charming room a touch of regal elegance. Its most unusual feature, and one of the venues biggest mysteries is an ornate yet unfinished Trompe l’oeil painted ceiling, commissioned by the Ridley family in the style of Eugene Delacroix - leader of the French Romantic school.

The room features an 89' plasma screen, and in-built audio equipment, making it the perfect setting for presentations.

It is recommended that the Lecture Room is booked with either the Mall Room or the Council Room for breakouts or refreshments.

Whether you are looking for a boardroom for a discreet meeting or a selection of distinct suites for a major conference, reception or fine dining occasion, {10-11} Carlton House Terrace provides versatile spaces and unrivalled standards of service. Twelve different rooms are available to hire, from 2 – 200 people, each offering their own unique style. Many of our rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, creating light and relaxed environments.
